BHOJPUR POLICE ARRESTED THREE BANK ROBBERS

Ara (RNI) Bhojpur police arrested a notorious bank robber of Samastipur along with his two associates who had come to Ara with a intention to commit loot in a bank. The police arrested them just before they could execute their plan to loot the bank. The gang had already committed robbery in bank and CSP in five districts and now this time they had come to Ara with the intention of robbing the bank for the sixth time but the Bhojpur police arrested them. The police also recovered two country made pistols and four live cartridges from them. The arrested miscreants were identified as Mintu Kumar alias Mitthu Tiwari son of late Raj Kumar Tiwari, Chhotu Kumar Singh son of Kishundeo Singh of Mathurapur under Bazaar Samiti police station in Samastipur district and Monu Kumar son of Ashok Pandey of Dumari village under Sighaul police station in Begusarai district. A named FIR has been lodged with the police under Nawada police station in this regard and the police sent them to jail after interrogation.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that he got information at about 11.15pm that Mitthu Tiwari a dreaded miscreant of Samastipur along with members of his gang has come to Ara with an intention to commit loot in a bank. After verification, he formed a police team. Seeing the police three miscreants on a motorcycle without registration number tried to escape towards Ramana Maidan at about 11.40pm from Pakari Chowk under Nawada police station but the police chased and arrested them. During interrogation, the miscreants confessed before the police that they had come here to loot bank and other members of the gang Ram Bhajju Pandey and Balram Tiwari of Sitamrhi will come to Ara by train on in a bus late in the evening. The police team searched for them but in vain. The arrested miscreants further revealed that they had already looted banks at Samastipur, Sitamarhi, Vidayi under Madhubani police station and Varsaliganj in Nawada district but the Bhojpur police foiled their bid and arrested them. The SP stated that the arrested miscreants had been in jail and after their release from the jail, they came to Ara to commit crime once again. He added that the area whence the miscreants were arrested has three banks and the miscreants were to commit a big crime in the area.
