BHOJPUR POLICE ARRESTED FIVE MEMBERS OF AN INTERSTATE GANG OF VEHICLE LIFTERS, SEIZED SIX STOLEN VEHICLES

ARA-----------------------------Bhojpur police busted a gang of inter-state vehicle hijackers and arrested five members of the gang. The police also recovered six stolen vehicles including five Scorpios and a Car, about a dozen fake stamps and owner books of the vehicles besides several documents. The arrested vehicles lifters were identified as Dharmendra Yadav of Brahmpur, Md Amzad of Naya Bhojpur in Buxar district, Vinod Kumar of Munshi Tola under Jagdishpur police station, Pintu Kumar, Ranjeet Kumar of Bihia village under the same police station in Bhojpur district. The arrested Dharmendra Yadav is said to be linked with an Insurance Company.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that the members of the gang stole luxury cars from Jharkhand and sold them at different places in Bhojpur district and likewise they stole luxury vehicles from Bihar and sold them in Jharkhand.  He said that it has come to light during interrogation that the members of the gang are hand in glove with the employees of the Insurance Company and Transport department and they their help the members of the gang prepared fake papers of the vehicles before selling them out.

The SP stated that he got information stolen luxury vehicles from different places of Dumka in Jharkhand are being sold in Bhojpur district and the Dumka Police had come to Bhojpur in connection with stealing of vehicles from Jharkhand. After that the SP formed a police team under the ASP Chnadra Prakash. This police team arrested Dharmendra Yadav of Brahmpur in Buxar district and Vinod Kumar of Munshi Tola under Jagdishpur police station in Bhojpur district from Paswan Chowk under Nawada police station along with a stolen Scorpio. After their revelation, the police recovered four stolen Scorpio and a car from different places including Bihia and arrested three more members of the gang, Pintu Kumar, Ranjeet Kumar and Md Amzad. The police also conducted raid at the residence and office of Dharmendra Yadav near Western Over Bridge and seized dozens of fake stamps, owner books of vehicles, ID and registers.

The SP further said that the gang gave colour of originality of stolen vehicles with the help of the employee of Insurance Company and the Transport Department and after preparing papers of the vehicles they sell the stolen vehicles at high rate. Several people falling into their trap, buy such vehicles. He said that the police are trying to identify the employees of the Insurance Company and the Transport Department involved in the racket and they will not be spared at any cost if found guilty.
