BHOJPUR POLICE ARRESTED AN AWARDEE OF Rs. 50,000

ARA------------------------Bhojpur police arrested an awardee of Rs. 50,000 from the Madhopur Marchaiya Diara under Karnamepur police station and sent him to jail. The arrested miscreant was identified as Hari Singh alias Bagha Singh son of Suresh Singh of Ishwarpura village under Karnamepur police station in Bhojpur district. He was wanted in a number of cases of attempt to murder, Arms Act and liquor smuggling and was absconding. The Police Headquarter had recently announced an award of Rs. 50,000 on his head.

Bhojpur SP Mister Raj said that at least five FIRs were filed with the police under Karnamepur police station against Hari Singh alias Bagha Singh in connection with Arms Act, liquor smuggling and attempt to murder. He was absconding in all these case since October 2024 and an award of Rs. 50,000 was announced on his head. Police were conducting raids to arrest him. Meanwhile, he got information that Hari Singh alias Bagha Singh was seen at Madhopur Maraicha Diara under Tarari police station. He at once sent a police team under the SHO Tarari police station Chandan Kumar and the police team conducted raid and arrested Hari Singh alias Bagha Singh. The SP further said that the police succeeded in arrested at least seven awardees from different places in Bhojpur district. He said that the Nawada police arrested Krishna Yadav an awardee of Rs. 25,000 who absconding in connection with murder while the Charpokhari police arrested Ankit Kumar an awardee of Rs. 25,000, the Ara town police station arrested Belal Mian and Chandi police station arrested Kallu Rai awardees of Rs. 1 lakh, Vikky Kumar and Munna Bind an awardees of Rs. 50,000. All the arrested miscreants are now languishing in the jail.
