ARA------------------------A driver was injured when a speeding Scorpio from Ara dashed a parked truck near Sakaddi village under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur district. The collision was so strong that the Scorpio was blown to pieces. Despite being injured, the driver tried to escape but the patrolling police caught him and when searched the damaged Scorpio, the police recovered India Made Foreign Liquor (IMPL) in large quantity. The injured driver was identified as Sohan Kumar 24 son of Dinesh Prasad of Ward No 2 of Mahamdpur under Didarganj police station in Patna district. Later the police sent him to jail after first aid.
SHO Koelwar police station Avinash Kumar said that he got information that large quantity of IMFL was being smuggled in a Scorpio from Ara to Patna and so police patrolling was intensified in the area. Meanwhile, a speeding Scorpio from Ara dashed a truck parked on roadside at Sakaddi from behind. After the incident, the driver tried to escape but the patrolling police arrested him and admitted him to the Primary Health Centre at Koelwar and first aid sent him to jail.
