BHOJPUR POLICE ARRESTED A DREADED CRIMINAL WITH FIREARMS

ARA-------------------------Bhojpur police, acting on a tip off, arrested a dreaded criminal from his house at Maadevchak Semaria village under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur district and recovered one country made pistol and 10 live cartridges from him. The arrested miscreant was identified as Putus Rai alias Ravi Kumar son of Sakaldeo Singh alias Sakal Rai. The arrested miscreant was said to be the close aide of dreaded Sand mafias Guddu Rai and Videshi Rai of Koelwar area. Videshi Rai had been arrested in connection with double murder case some days ago and is languishing in the jail.

Bhojpur SP Mister Raj said that he got information that a dreaded criminal Putus Rai alias Ravi Kumar wanted in several criminal cases including double murder case at Kamaluchak Gadahiya Sand Ghat under Koelwar police station had come to native village at Mahadevchak Semaria village with arms and ammunition and was planning to perpetuate some crime. He at once formed a police team and the police team conducted raid at Mahadevchak Semaria village and arrested Putus Rai alias Ravi Kumar with one country made pistol and 10 live cartridges.

The SP further said that at least nine criminal cases are pending with the police under Koelwar police station including attempt to murder, extortion, Arms Act and illegal mining and he was absconding in all the cases.

It may be said that an exchange of fire had taken place at Kamaluchak Gadahiya Sand Ghat under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur district in between Satyendra Pandey and Guddu Rai gangs on May 1, 2024 in which two persons of Saran district were killed. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Koelwar police station in this regard against Satyendra Pandey and his son of Pachrukhiya village under Koelwar police station and Guddu Rai and his aides and the police had arrested at least half a dozen named accused including Videshi Rai in this matter at that time and were landed in the jail.
