BHOJPUR POLICE ARREST TWO PERSONS AND RECOVERED MONEY STOLEN FROM A CLOTH SHOP IN GUJARAT

Ara, 23 June 2023, (RNI): At the information of the Gujarat police, the Bhojpur police conducted raid at Dalippur under Jagdishpur police station in Bhojpur district and arrested two miscreants and recovered rupees and mobiles stolen from Gujarat from their possession. The arrested persons were identified as Satyendra Narayan Chaudhary father of the miscreant and Mrityunjay Kumar while Bittu Kumar is still absconding.

SDPO Jagdishpur Rajeev Chandra Singh said that the Gujarat police informed that Bittu Kumar son of Satyendra Narayan Chaudhary of Dalippur Dih under Jagdishpur police station of Bhojpur in Bihar worked in the shop of a cloth merchant in Gujarat and he stole Rs. 36.17lakh from the shop in the night of June 15, 2023 and fled away. He along with police force conducted raid in the house of Bittu Kumar and recovered Rs. 7.94 lakh from the house while the police recovered mobiles from the house of Mrityunjay Kumar. The police arrested Bittu Kumar’s father Satyendra Narayan Chaudhary and Mrityunjay Kumar. Police are conducting raids to arrest Bittu Kumar. The Gujarat police have been informed about the arrest and recovery of money. The arrested persons and the recovered money would be handed over as the Gujarat police arrived.

The SDPO further said that after the FIR was lodged with the police under Salawatpur police station regarding the theft, the Gujarat police started investigating the matter. The CCTV footage showed that Bittu Kumar was purchasing a mobile after stealing amount from the cloth shop. Gujarat police got the EMI number of the new mobile and found the location of Bittu Kumar and informed the Bhojpur police.
