ARA----------------------------Bhojpur police arrested two miscreants and seized one loaded country made pistol and three live cartridges and a motorcylce in connection with exchange of fire and murder of two persons at Kalamuchak Sand Ghat. The police lodged a named FIR against them and sent them to jail after interrogation. Police are conducting raids to arrest other miscreants in this regard.
Sadar SDPO-2 Ranjeet Kumar Singh said that two persons were killed and one injured in an exchange of fire at Gadahiya Sand Ghat of Kamaluchak Diara area under Koelwar police station on May 1, 2024 in connection with illegal sand digging and also for war of attrition. An FIR was lodged with the police under Koelwar police station in this regard. Meanwhile, police got information that some miscreants wanted in that incident, stayed on the way to 65th Sand Ghat on Koelwar-Babura main road to commit some crime. At the direction of the Bhojpur SP, a police team was formed that arrested two miscreants and seized two country made pistols, three live cartridges, two mobiles and a motorcycle from their possession.
SHO Koelwar police station Narrottam said that at the revelation of the arrested miscreants, police are conducting raids to arrest the miscreants and hoped that the all the miscreants would be behind bar very soon.
Bhojpur SP Neeraj Kumar said that two persons Vikas Mahato 20 son of Hungi Mahato of Chakia village under Doriganj police station in Saran district and Sudarshan Rai 40 son of Tulasi Rai of the same area were killed while one Purnwasi Mahato 40 son of late Razak Mahato of Chakia village was injured in an exchange of fire in between two groups of Sand mafias Guddu Rai and dreaded Satyendra Pandey in between Pachrukhia and Kamaluchak Diara Sand Ghat under Koelwar police station in war of attrition in the night on May 1, 2024.
It may be said that Assistant Manager, Manipuram Bank and resident of Belbharia village under Chowk police station Maharajganj district, Uttar Pradesh and Sand ghat clerk Sanjeet Kumar, resident of Naubatpur village under the same police station in Patna district were killed in an exchange of firing in between two groups of sand mafias at Kamaluchak Sand Ghat on January 22, 2022 evening.
