BHOJPUR POLICE ARREST TWO DREADED CRIMINALS

Ara, 4 June 2023, (RNI): Bhojpur police, acting on a tip off, arrested a dreaded criminal Nakul Mahato son of Lalan Mahato from the area under Karnamepur police outpost in Bhojpur district and sent him jail after interrogation. He was a resident of Zamira village under Ara Muffassil police station. He was wanted in a number of murder and loot cases. The police also recovered one country made pistol, two live cartridges and a motorcycle from his possession.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that he got information that an armed miscreant was looking for committing crime somewhere at Belauti village under Shahpur police station on NH-84. He formed a police team under the ASP Chandra Prakash for his arrest. The police team launched vehicle checking drive on Belauti-Shapur NH-84. The miscreant, seeing the police tried to escape but the police chased and arrested him. He was counted among 20 top miscreants of Bhojpur. He was wanted in connection with a loot of Rs. 6 lakh under Shahpur police station and murders of Nawada and Shahpur police stations.

In another case, Bhojpur police arrested Mukesh Kumar son of Kamla Yadav from Nargada village Shahpur police station in connection with murder, extortion and loot. He was also counted among top 20 miscreants of Bhojpur district.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that in the year 2018, a police team had gone to Shahpur for conducting raid where some miscreants had attacked the police team. An FIR was lodged with the police under Shahpur police station against 23 persons including Mukesh Kumar and since he was absconding. Besides, he was also wanted in theft in September and extortion in October 2014, snatching in June and murder in October in 2016 under Shahpur police station.
