BHOJPUR POLICE ARREST SON AND LOVER OF FORMER WARD COUNCILOR WIFE IN HIS MURDER

ARA--------------------------------Bhojpur police arrested two persons in connection with murder of former Ward Councilor, Koelwar Nagar Panchayat, Tribhuwan Mahato alias Raj Kumar alias Chhotu a resident of Mishrapur Milki village under Koelwar police station on September 15, 2023. The arrested persons were identified as Kush son of the deceased and Munna Chaudhary, lover of Anita Devi, wife of the deceased. Later the police sent them to jail after interrogation. The police also seized a motorcycle and four mobiles.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that the murder of the former Ward Councilor is related to illicit relation and honour killing. He said that some armed miscreants shot dead the former Ward Councilor, Koelwar Nagar Panchayat Tribhuwan Mahato alias Raj Kumar alias Chhotu near Mahamadpur Petrol pump at Chanpur village on Ara-Chhapara main road in the morning on September 15, 2023 dragging him out of his car.

The SP said that Kush son of the deceased and the lover of Anita Devi Munna Chaudhary had given contract for the murder of Tribhuwan Mahato and added that the police are conducting raids to arrest the contract killer. He said that Munna Chaudhary and Anita Devi wife of the deceased had illicit relation since 2022 and he frequently visited his house. Tribhuwan Mahato alaways tortured his son Kush for taking liquor. Both Kush and Munna Chaudhary worked as liners for the contract killer. He stated that Munna Chaudhary had married Kumkum Devi in the year 2013 and killed her in the year 2014. The police arrested and sent him to jail in this regard. After coming out of the jail on bail, Munna Chaudhary married with another girl in the year 2018 and had a son and a daughter with the this marriage. Meanwhile he came in contact with Tribhuwan Mahato in the year 2018 and he assigned the task of vehicle passing to Munna Chaudhary and he started visiting the house of Tribhuwan Mahato and came close to his wife Anita Devi and both developed some illicit relation in the year 2022. In the meantime, Tribhuwan Mahato was jailed in connection with sand passing case and remained in the jail for about eight months. Anita eloped from her house after falling madly in love with Munna Chaudhary. The police recovered her after a month and sent her to house but she was adamant to live with her lover Munna Chaudhary.

Even the son of the deceased Kush knew all about the love affairs of his mother and Tribhuwan Mahato himself gave him this information. Kush also had differences with his father Tribhuwan Mahato for taking liquor and so he hired a contract killer and got his father murdered and he himself was present at the incident site. After murder, Kush dropped the contract killers on his wife somewhere and returned. The police arrested Kush as conspirator. It was said that Munna Chaudhary had given Rs. 5 lakh to Tribhuwan Mahato for bail when he was in jail. Tribhuwan Mahato returned Rs. 2 lakh but dispute was going on in between the two over Rs. 3 lakh. Munna Chaudhar had come in contact with the contract killers when he was in jail.  

It may be mentioned that after the murder of Tribhuwan Mahato, his son Kush was sitting by the side of his father and his wife Anita Devi also came to the spot. Anita Devi said that her husband owed money with a person of Harpur village for the last five years and added that after coming out of the jail members of sand passing gang were compelling him with a threat of dire consequences if he did not join them. She further said that he went to Mohammadpur Stand via Harpur and purchase vegetablesj and when he was about to return, motorcycle borne armed miscreants came and shot him dead.

Tribhuwan Mahato of Mishrapur Milki village of Koelwar Ward No 1 was Ward Councilor of Ward No 1 of Koelwar Nagar Panchayat from 2007 to 2012 but at present lived in a rented house near Koelwar Chowk.
