BHOJPUR POLICE ARREST SIX RAPISTS

Ara, 18 July 2023, (RNI): Bhojpur police arrested six miscreants in connection with outraging modesty of a girl near Bara village under Ara Muffassil police station on July 12, 2023 in front of her boyfriend. The arrested rapists were identified as Parmatam Kumar Rai of Parasiya village under Jagdishpur police station, Vidyanand Yadav, Babudhan Kumar, Santosh Kumar, Ranjeet Kumar and Tunnu Rai of Mahakampur village under Ara Muffassil police station in Bhojpur district. Later the police sent them to jail after interrogation.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that a young girl, on the pretext of going to coaching, went with her boyfriend on a motorcycle for a stroll. Both of them were standing under a tree near Bara village when four youths on a motorcycle came there and took the key of their motorcycle after querying their names and address. They caught the girl and took her to a nearby garden where they outraged her modesty one by one. An FIR was lodged with the police under Ara Muffassil police station in this regard. After institution of FIR, the SP formed a police team under the SDPO, Ara and the police following technical research arrested six rapists.

It may be recalled that the miscreants had also videographed the rape incident and the police found clips of videograph of rape incident from the mobiles of the rapists. After commotion, the girl had escaped with her boyfriend from the scene due to social stigma.
