BHOJPUR POLICE ARREST PERSONS AND RECOVERED FIREARMS

ARA-----------------------------Bhojpur police conducted raids at different places of Jagdishpur Sub-Division and arrested four persons in connection with dowry death, mobile loot and liquor smuggling. The police also recovered a country made pistol, five live cartridges, six mobiles, 290 litre of India Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL), one motorcycle and one car from their possession.

SDPO Jagdishpur Rajeev Chandra Singh said that one married woman was strangulated to death at Khairaha village under Dhangai police station with a rope in the afternoon on October 7, 2023. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Dhangai police station against four persons including the mother-in-law, father-in-law and brother-in-law of the deceased on the statement of Jitendra Singh, father of the deceased and resident of Ishwar Singh Ka Tola under Jagdishpur police station. The police arrested the father-in-law Ram Sakal Singh and the mother-in-law Sumanti Devi of Kharaiha village.The SDPO added that Kajal Kumari 25 was married with Mrityunjay Singh of Khairaha village on February 11, 2021 but the in-laws strangulated her to death merely for dowry.

The SDPO stated that two miscreants from near Ichari village under Jagdishpur police station during vehicle checking drive. They were trying to flee after snatching mobile from a person from near Bhedari Bridge over the Banas river under Ayar police station. The police also recovered a country made pistol, five live cartridges, six mobiles, one motorcycle. The arrested miscreants were identified as Prashant Kumar son of Arun Singh and Moti Kumar son of Parmanand Singh of Ratnadh village and Gadhani police station.
