BHOJPUR POLICE ARREST ONE MORE MISCREANTS IN TANISHQ SHOWROOM LOOT CASE

After arrest of 15 miscreants in connection with Tanishq Showroom loot case, Bhojpur police are conducing raids at different place at the revelation of the arrested miscreants to arrest the rest miscreants in this regard. In this sequence Bhojpur police arrested one miscreant from Babura village under Badahara police station in Bhojpu district in connection with a loot in the Tanishq Showroom at Gopali Chowk under Ara town police station and are interrogating him. He is a resident of Ekauna village under Badahara police station. Police claimed that many important information has been received during interrogation of the arrested miscreants. It was said that some of the arrested miscreants have link with the loot in Purnia Tanishq Showroom and Patna jewelry shop and so an officer from Purnia has come to Ara for interrogation of the some of the arrested miscreants.

ARA-------------------------After arrest of 15 miscreants in connection with Tanishq Showroom loot case, Bhojpur police are conducing raids at different place at the revelation of the arrested miscreants to arrest the rest miscreants in this regard. In this sequence Bhojpur police arrested one miscreant from Babura village under Badahara police station in Bhojpu district in connection with a loot in the Tanishq Showroom at Gopali Chowk under Ara town police station and are interrogating him. He is a resident of Ekauna village under Badahara police station. Police claimed that many important information has been received during interrogation of the arrested miscreants. It was said that some of the arrested miscreants have link with the loot in Purnia Tanishq Showroom and Patna jewelry shop and so an officer from Purnia has come to Ara for interrogation of the some of the arrested miscreants.

It may be mentioned here that Bhojpur police and a team of STF from Patna,10 miscreants including four robbers from Delhi, NCR, Chhatisgarh and Jammu in connection with loot of jewelries worth about Rs. 10 crore from Tanishq Showroom near Sheesh Mahal Chowk under Ara town police station in Bhojpur district on March 10, 2025 and also recovered looted four biscuits of gold, two chains, one bracelet and a gold ring weighing 432 gram. The police also seized one pistol, clothes, a car and seven mobiles. The police had already arrested five miscreants in this regard and had recovered two bags full looted jewelries worth about Rs. 2.5 crore. The arrested miscreants were identified as Suraj Mandal son of Nityanand Mandal of Mahendrapur Ward No 8 under Palasi police station in Araria district, Amit Kumar son of Arvind Thakur of Harauli village under Sadar, Vaishali district, Nitin Kumar son of Amrendra Kumar Pandey of Baladas Math under Nagar police station in Hazipur, Vaishali district, Gaurav Kumar son of late Sanjay Kumar Singh of Kalyanpur under Saray police station, Vaishali district, Md. Chand Alam son of Md. Rashid of Mahua, Mukundpur under Mahua police station in Vaishali district, Abhishek Kumar son of Gajendra Kumar Jaisawal of Mahua Singh Rai under Mahua police station in Vaishali district, Sumit Kumar alias Prince Rajpur of Bakarpur, Bilanpur, under Rajapakar police station in Vaishali district, Abhimanyu alias Khudu alias Pagala son of late Ram Bharos Sahani under Harauli Kachahari Chowk under Sadar Police station in Vaishali district, Pritam Kumar alias Chhotu son of Bipin Chaudhary of Shahpur under Tisiyota police station in Vaishali district, Himanshu Kumar son of late Jagarnath Chaudhary of Shahpur under Tisiyota police station in Vashali district. Police had arrested Suraj Mandal from Jammu who had entered the Taishq Showroom shop in disguise of customer and was identified from the CCTV footage. The police had earlier arrested Vishal Gupta son of Bhuwaneshwar Prasad of under Dighwara police station in Saran district, Kunal Kumar son of Pradip Rai of Semara village under Sonpur police station in Saran district, Suraj Singh son of Ajay Singh of Parashurampur under Sinha police station in Bhojpur district, Gautam Kumar son of Binod Chaudhary of Majhauli village under Bidupur police station in Vaishali district and Vishal Singh son of Ashok Singh of Udaybhanpur under Krishnagarh  police station in Bhojpur district. The police also seized two gold chains, one bracelet, two bags of jewelries, one gold ring, seven mobiles, four gold biscuits, seven live cartridges, one country made pistol, one car and some clothes. The police had earlier seized two pistols and a rifle. Police are conducting raids to arrest the rest miscreants.

Bhojpur SP Mister Raj said that the miscreants were arrested from different places with the help of police from different states and districts. He said that Suraj Mandal, Sumit Kumar alias Prince, Amit Kumar and Abhimanyu were involved in the loot while other arrested miscreants were involved in the case directly or indirectly or receivers. He added that Chunmun Jha involved in the case was killed in police encounter in Araria on March 22, 2025 while two miscreants are still absconding. He said that court has produced production warrants against the mastermind of the loot Chandan alias Prince son of Ram Chandra Chaudhary of Gaujhauli village under Bidupur police station in Vaishali district who is languishing in jail in West Bengal and Sheru Singh alias Onkarnath son of Krishna Singh of Dullapur village under Sigari police station in Buxar district in Bihar. After that the police will take them on remand for interrogation. The SP stated that Himanshu Kumar was involved in the loot in the Jeewa Jewelry Showroom Shop at Danapur in Patna. He added that the miscreants had sold a part of jewelries looted from the Tanishq Showroom in Ara to a former Ward Councilor, Abhishek Kumar of Singh Rai ka Mohalla at Mahua under Mahua police station in Vaishali district at Rs. 20 lakh. Rs. 5 lakh of Rs. 20 lakh has been freeze. The arrested Gaurav and Md Chand had sold a part of looted jewelries to Abhishek Kumar. Later Abhishek Kumar melted the jewelries and made four biscuits of gold which have been recovered. The SP said that a speedy trial will be conducted by conducting TIP parade in the case so that culprits can be punished and added that from CCTV footage, clothes and everything has been seized as evidence. Police has solid evidence against the arrested miscreants.

It may be mentioned here that in a broad day light, about a half a dozen armed miscreants had entered the Tanishq Showroom near Gopali Chowk under Ara town police station on March 10, 2025 and had decamped with the jewelries made of gold, silver and diamond worth about Rs. 10.9 crore. The miscreants thrashed the salesman Rohit Kumar and also looted a rifle from the guard. Though within two hours of robbery the police after an exchange of fire with miscreants near Babura Chhotipur Bridge in which two miscreants Vishal Gupta son of Bhuneshwar Prasad of Dighwara in Saran district and Pradeep Kumar son of Kunal Kumar of Semara village under Sonarpur police station were injured whom the police arrested and also had recovered the looted rifle and two bags of looted jewelries, two country made pistols, 10 live cartridges and a motorcycle.

The Store Manager, Kumar Mrityunjay had said that at least even armed miscreants one of them had covered his face with mask, entered the showroom as customers when jewelries were being displayed on the counter and made captive all the staffs and customers including the guard Manoj Thakur at gun point, looted all the jewelries. They also thrashed the salesman Rohit Kumar when he protested. Later they packed all the jewelries in three bags and decamped with the booty. An FIR No. 171/25 was lodged with the police under Ara town police station in this regard.
