BHOJPUR POLICE ARREST ONE MISCRENAT AND SEIZED FIREARMS

Ara, 6 March 2023, (RNI): Bhojpur police arrested a miscreant from Bela village under Dhobaha police outpost in Bhojpur district in connection with a murder and sent him to jail after interrogation. The arrested miscreant was identified as Manoj Kumar of Bela village. The police also seized a country made pistol and live cartridges from Manoj Kumar.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that some armed miscreants had shot at and injured Sunil Kumar Gupta alias Dhannu Kalwar and Vindhyachal Prasad Soni during a marriage ceremony at Dhobaha Bazaar under Dhobaha police outpost on January 30, 2023 but Vindhyachal Prasad Soni succumbed to his injuries during treatment. A video had become viral of the incident and the police arrested some persons on the basis of viral video and sent them to jail.

The SP said that he formed a police team that revealed that Manoj Kumar had a tiff with a medical shop owner and to take revenge, he was killed under planned conspiracy during marriage ceremony to give colour of pleasure firing. The SP said that at least 6 criminal cases in pending against Manoj Kumar under Krishnagarh police station while two under Dhobaha police outpost and one under Bihia police station.
