ARA---------------------------Bhojpur police arrested a miscreant Private Bus Stand at Sritola under Ara town police station in Bhojpur district in connection with Axis Bank robbery and also conducting raids to arrest his aides on his revelation. The arrested miscreant was identified as Suraj Kumar of Parmanandpur village under Mahua police station of Vaishali district.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that five armed miscreants had looted about Rs. 17 lakh from Axis Bank in December , 6, 2023 at Pakari locality under Nawada police station. An FIR was lodged with the police under Nawada police station on the statement of the Branch Manager. After institution of an FIR, a police team was formed. The police team following CCTV footage and scientific evidences, arrested Suraj Kumar from the Private Bus Stand at Sri Tola under Ara town police station. The arrested miscreant confessed during interrogation before the police that he along with his aides was involved in the bank robbery. He also confessed that he was also involved in several loot casesin Samastipur district. The police are conducting raids to arrest the rest bank robbers.

In another case, Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that the police, acting on a tip off, conducted raid at Gadaha village under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district and arrested a miscreant and also seized a country made rifle, two country made pistols and six live cartridges from him. The arrested miscreant was identified as Pankaj Kumar son of Nirgun Singh of Gadaha village. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Udwantnagar police station in this regard and the police sent him to jail after interrogation.
