BHOJPUR POLICE ARREST MISCREANT WITH FIREARMS

Ara, 7 June 2023, (RNI): Bhojpur police arrested a miscreant when he was trying to escape after firing in connection with a land dispute at Sri Tola locality under Ara Nawada police station in Bhojpur district. The police also recovered a country made pistol, four live cartridges, one blank cartridge and one magazine from his possession. The miscreant was identified as

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that a pond at Sri Tola locality under Nawada police station was auctioned and Sarvjeet Kumar alias Rahul Kumar succeeded in getting the pond in auction while the other party was Chandra Paswan who failed to get the pond that infuriated Chandrama Paswan. When Sarvajeet Kumar alias Rahul was passing through the community hall at Sri Tola at about 7.30pm, Chandra Paswan appeared and fired. Meanwhile, police personnel who were on duty near the Patel Bus Stand, rushed to the spot and arrested the fleeing Chandra Paswan along with one country made pistol, four live cartridges, one blank cartridge and one magazine.

The SP further said that Chandra Paswan had fired at the gate of the Ara jail one month ago and the police was searching for him since. The SP said that during interrogation, Chandrama Paswan confessed firing at the gate of Ara jail and added that the police identified the motorcycle used at the time of firing at the gate of the Ara jail. Later the police sent him to jail.
