BHOJPUR POLICE ARREST MEMBER OF AN INTERSTATE GANG OF CRIMINALS

Ara, 18 July 2023, (RNI): Bhojpur police arrested a member of an interstate gang from Bahoranpur village under Bahoranpur police outpost in Bhojpur district and sent him to jail after interrogation. The arrested miscreant was identified as Jai Kumar Rai. Several criminal cases are pending with the police against him in different police stations in Bihia, Shahpur in Bhojpur district besides Arwal district and Bihata in Patna district. 

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that the Bhojpur police had arrested two persons with a rifle, 79 live cartridges, fake Identity cards and Rs. 20,000 in cash near Bajrangbali on Bihia road in Bhojpur district on March 23, 2022 and the arrested miscreants had told the name of Rai Kumar Rai during interrogation. Since the police are hunting for him. The SP said that he was in contact with many criminals of Kolkata in West Bengal and added that his basically got the original copy of Arms licenses by hobnobbing with the employees of other departments in other States and after that, by putting others’ photographs on them, he used to prepare fake arms licenses and sell them as genuine. The SP said that the police are trying to find out about his accomplices.
