BHOJPUR POLICE ARREST INTERSTATE ARMS SMUGGLER WITH ARMS AND AMMUNITION

ARA------------------------Bhojpur police with the help of Bihar STF arrested an interstate arms smuggler from Anaith locality under Ara Nawada  police station and seized one pistol, 98 live cartridges, two magazines, one mobile and a motorcycle from his possession. The arrested arms smuggler was identified as Vikki Tiwari son of Naradmuni Tiwari of Barisawan village under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur district who at present lived at Jagdeo Nagar locality under Ara Nawada police station. Police are conducting raids to arrest his other associates. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Ara Nawada police station against the arrested arms smuggler and the police sent him to jail after interrogation.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that he got information in the night on November 6, 2023 some miscreants assembled at Anaith locality under Ara Nawada police station with a lot of arms to commit crime. He at once formed a police team under the ASP Chandra Prakash to arrest the miscreants and also to recover arms. The police team took help of STF and both conducted raid at Anaith locality under Ara Nawada police station and arrested Vikky Tiwari along with one pistol, 98 live cartridges, two magazines, one mobile and a motorcycle.

On the other hand, the STF released a press note and said that the police team recovered one 45mm regular pistol, 48 live cartridges of 45mm caliber, 50 live cartridges of 30mm caliber, two magazines, one fake identity card of the BSF and arrested the arms dealer Vikki Tiwari.

It was said that Vikky Tiwari was to deliver the pistol, live cartridges and magazines to someone in the evening on November 6, 2023 when the Bhojpur police and the STF got wind of it and they arrested him with firearms and ammunition.

The SP said that Vikki Tiwari is an arms smuggler and also a criminal who had come to the Anaith locality along with others to commit crime but the miscreants knew about the police action and so his other associates fled away from the scene. The SP further said that police are tracing his gang and all the members of the gang will be arrested very soon.

The SP stated that Vikki Tiwari was arrested in BSF uniform from the Ara railway station in the month of April last year with one of his associates with the help of STF and cache of arms and a fake identify of card of BSF were also seized from him and he was landed in jail. The STF and the GRP had told that Vikki Tiwari was an interstate arms smuggler and he along with his associates procured arms and ammunition after getting fake arms licenses from Nagaland and Jammu-Kashmir. He procured arms and ammunition from Punjab and Haryana and supplied them to the miscreants of Bihar.
