BHOJPUR POLICE ARREST FIVE MISCREANTS

Bhojpur police, acting on a tip off, arrested five miscreants in connection with loot of about Rs. 4.3 lakh from a grocery businessman. The police also recovered two motorcycles, five mobiles and Rs. 10,000 in cash from them.

ARA-----------------------Bhojpur police, acting on a tip off, arrested five miscreants in connection with loot of about Rs. 4.3 lakh from a grocery businessman. The police also recovered two motorcycles, five mobiles and Rs. 10,000 in cash from them. The arrested miscreants were identified as Amit Kumar alias Bullu, Sachin Kumar alias Sunny sons of Indra Deo Rai, Shubham Kumar son of Akhilesh Sah, Mukesh Kumar son of Bindeshwar Rai and Vikki Kumar son of Upendra Rai of Rajapur Panchrukhia village under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur district. After their arrest, the police heaved a sigh of relief. Police are still conducting raids to arrest the sixth miscreant.

SHO Koelwar police station Narottam Chandra said that Sanjeev Kumar Monu, a grocery businessman of Babura village under Badahara police station in Bhojpur district was returning his village after collection of money from Koelwar on July 18, 2024 and when he reached near 65th Sand Ghat on Koelwar-Babura main road under Koelwar police station, six armed miscreants intercepted him and snatched Rs. 4.3 lakh from him at pistol point. An FIR was lodged with the police under Koelwar police station on the statement of Sanjeev Kumar Monu in this regard. After institution of FIR, a police team under the SDPO-2 was formed and the police team following the technical evidences and physical information, arrested a miscreant from Koelwar Chowk. Later on his revelation, the police arrested the rest four miscreants in this regard.

SDPO, Piro Rahul Singh said that motorcycle borne three unidentified armed miscreants, in a broad day light, entered the CSP centre of the Bank of India at Khutaha Bazaar under Imadpur police station and looted Rs. 2.4 lakh and escaped from the scene towards the Mopti Mela Road. The SDPO stated that the police, on information, rushed to the spot and started investigating the matter.
