The police recovered a country made pistol, two live cartridges and a stolen motorcycle from them. On their revelation, the police also arrested two persons who had called them for the crime.

ARA--------------------------Bhojpur police, acting on a tip off, arrested half a dozen miscreants red handed from near Kuberchak-Suraundha Colony Mor under Koelwar police station when they were hatching plan to commit crime. The police recovered a country made pistol, two live cartridges and a stolen motorcycle from them. On their revelation, the police also arrested two persons who had called them for the crime. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Koelwar police station against them and the police sent them to jail after interrogation. The arrested miscreants were identified as Sanjeev, Roushan and Nilesh of Matiyara village under Giddha police station, Kundan alias Pankaj of Kuberchak under Koelwar police station, Mukesh, Dheeraj of Sakaddi village and Kanhaiya Kumar of Zamira village under Ara Muffassil police station and Vikas of Dumari village under Bihata police station in Patna district.

Ara SDPO-2 Ranjeet Kumar Singh said that Sanjeev had been arrested and sent to jail in connection with loot in the CSP centre at Birampur village under Giddha police station and was bailed out last month. Several criminal cases are pending with the police under Koelwar and Giddha police stations against him. Criminal cases of murder, attempt to murder and others are pending with the police under Koelwar, Giddha and Ara town police stations against Kundan alias Pankaj.

The SDPO further said that during interrogation, the arrested miscreants confessed that they were involved in the firing at a shop of Gorakh Mahato’s brother at Zamira road under Ara town police station, shooting at Bimlesh Mahato at Sakaddi, shooting of a youth during a cricket dispute at Matiyara village under Giddha police station in January this year and other criminal cases. He said that the police had launched campaign against the criminals wanted in Arms Act and attempt to murder case. During this, the police got information that several armed miscreants including Sanjeev had assembled at Kuberchak-Suraundha Colony Mor under Koelwar police station to commit crime. On information, a police team under the SHO Koelwar police station Narottam Chandara and the police conducted raid and arrested half a dozen miscreants and also seized a country made pistol, two live cartridges and a stolen motorcycle from them. During interrogation, the miscreants revealed that they had assembled there to murder a person of Anaith locality under Nawada police station and a youth of Matiyara village had given them contract for this. On their revelation, the police arrested two more miscreants from Matiyara village. The arrested persons told the police that sister-in-law of their sister’s sister-in-law and her husband had got his sister’s marriage cancelled and got his brother-in-law (bahnoi) married somewhere else. So he had given contract to kill him to take revenge.
