BHOJPUR POLICE ARREST AN EVE-TEASER AND SEND HIM TO JAIL

ARA----------------------------Bhojpur police arrested a youth from Shahpur Bazaar under Shahpur police station and sent him to jail in connection with eve-teasing. The girl had lodged a named FIR with the police under Shahpur police station against the eve-teaser.

SHO Shahpur police station Pramod Kumar said that a girl Sonam Praveen worked in a shop at Shahpur Bazaar under Shahpur police station. A youth Jitendra Pandey of Ranisagar village frequently teased her and compelled her to give her mobile number but she always refused. Meanwhile, when she was going to her village from Shahpur, Jitendra Pandey caught her near a transformer on Ranisagar-Kundeshwar main road and tried to molest her but could succeed in his bid as some villagers came to her rescue hearing her cry. Sonam Praveen narrated her woes to her family members and also lodged a named FIR with the police under Shahpur police station. After institution of FIR, the police swung into action arrested Jitendra Pandey and sent him to jail.
