BHOJPUR POLICE ARREST AN AWARDEE OF Rs. 50,000

ARA-----------------------Bhojpur police, acting on a tip off, arrested an absconder bearing an award of Rs. 50.000 on his head from near Private Bus Stand under Nawada police station and sent him to jail after interrogation. The arrested miscreant was identified as Bittu Kumar Rai son of Vijay Kumar Rai of Bagar village under Sikarhatta police station in Bhojpur district.

SHO Nawada police station Bipin Bihari said that some miscreants had shot dead Upendra Kumar Singh alias Mithun Singh son of Sita Ram Singh of Vishnu Nagar Nala Road near Durga Temple at Jagdeo Nagar under Nawada police station in Bhojpur district and also had injured a JD(U) leader Prince Singh Bajrangi on September 27, 2020. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Nawada police station against Suman, Bittu, Rishu and Deepak on the statement of the father of the deceased. The police had arrested all the four named accused in this regard and sent them to jail though they were bailed out after sometime. Meanwhile, the court ordered them to be present in the court during trial of the case. All but Bittu Kumar Rai turned up in the court and since he was absconding. The police headquarter announced an award of Rs. 50,000 on his head recently.
