BHOJPUR POLICE ARREST AN AWARDEE OF Rs. 50,000

ARA (RNI) Bhojpur police heaved a sigh of relief after the arrest of an absconder bearing an award of Rs. 50,000 on his head. The arrested miscreant was identified as Dhannu Singh son of Shiv Janam Singh of Ishwarpura village under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur district. He was counted among top 10 criminals of Bhojpur district.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that Dhannu Singh was wanted in a number of criminal cases like loot, firing, Arms Act, SC/ST Act and others. He along with Harendra Singh alias Bua Singh had made murderous attack on Arun Kumar Pandey of Ishwarpura village under Shahpur police station in protest against an enmity during Panchayat election in the year 2021 in which Arun Kumar Pandey escaped narrowly and Dhannu Singh and Harendra Singh alias Bua Singh escaped from the scene and since they were absconding. Later a named FIR was lodged with the police under Shahpur police station against Dhannu Singh and Harendra Singh alias Bua Singh on the statement of Arun Kumar Pandey. The police announced an award of Rs. 50,000 on Dhannu Singh. The SP said that he formed a police team under the Jagdishpur SDPO and the police team was conducting raids to arrest them. Meanwhile, the police got information that Dhannu Singh had come to his native village Ishwarpura. The police team immediately swung into action and conducted raid at Ishwarpura Diara area and arrested Dhannu Singh. Later the police sent him to jail after interrogation. The SP said that the police are conducting raids to arrest Harendra Singh alias Bua Singh.
