BHOJPUR POLICE ARREST AN AWARDEE OF Rs. 25,000

ARA------------------------Bhojpur police arrested an absconder miscreant bearing an award of Rs. 25,000 on his head from his house at Pathar village under Charpokhari police station in Bhojpur district. The arrested miscreant was identified as Ankit Kumar son of Kamlesh Singh of Pathar village under Charpokhari police station in Bhojpur district. Later the police sent him to jail after interrogation.

Bhojpur SP Mister Raj said that the police got information that an absconder dreaded criminal Ankti Kumar had come to his native village at Pathar village under Charpokhari police station in Bhojpur district. The police at once conducted raid at his house and arrested him from his house. The SP further said Girali Prasad was killed with traditional weapons at Pathar village under Charpokhari police station on July 4, 2020 merely in connection with money transaction. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Charpokhari police station against Kamlesh Singh, his wife Kiran Devi and son Ankit Kumar in this regard on the statement of Dilip Kumar son of the deceased. In the FIR, Dilip Kumar said that he had borrowed Rs. 15,000 from Kiran Devi wife of Kamlesh Singh and he had returned Rs. 5000. During lock down, Kamlesh Singh realized interest on Rs. 10,000 at the rate of Rs. 5%. In the meantime, on July 4, 2020, Kamelsh Singh, his wife Kiran Devi and son Ankit Kumar came to his house with traditional weapons and demanded the rest amount and they also thrashed his father Girali Prasad with traditional weapons and killed him. The police had arrested Kamlesh Singh and sent him to jail though his wife Kiran Devi had died after sometime of lodging of the FIR. Since Ankit Kumar was absconding.
