ARA (RNI) Bhojpur police with the help of their Buxar counterpart arrested a dreaded criminal Prakash Thakur wanted in four criminal cases including Arms Act from Kudara village under Brahmpur police station in Buxar district. He was son of Devanand Thakur alias Jhunnu Thakur of Gaura village under Bahoranpur police station in Bhojpur district and is listed in top 10 criminals of the district. He was named in over one dozen criminal cases and had been in jail last year. After coming out of the jail on bail, he once again embroiled in criminal activities. Later the police sent him to jail after interrogation.
Bhojpur SP Mister Raj said that the police were trying to arrest Prakash Thakur listed in top 10 criminal of Bhojpur district and the police got information that Prakash Thakur had taken shelter at Kudara village under Brahmpur police station in Buxar district and was planning to commit crime. The Bhojpur police went to Buxar and with their counterpart there, the police arrested Prakash Thakur from Kudara village in Buxar district. The SP further said that at least 12 criminal cases were detected against Prakash Thakur so far. He was absconding in four criminal cases including Arms Act and attempt to murder lodged with police under Bahoranpur police station. Police are delving to detect other cases against him. He stated that Prakash Thakur is active in the criminal world since 2017 and he had made his video viral with firearms on social media.
