BHOJPUR POLICE ARREST A RAPIST

ARA--------------------------Bhojpur police arrested a rapist from a village under Gidha police station in Bhojpur district and sent him to jail in connection with outraging modesty of a teenage girl of the village. The rapist was identified as Jai Prakash Kumar.

Quoting the girl, the SHO Gidha police station Umus Salama said that Jai Prakash Kumar called her on mobile in the night on February 12, 2025 outside her house and when she came out of the house, he caught her to his house despite protest where finding her all alone, he outraged her modesty. She further said that the girl knew Jai Prakash Kumar for the last one year and he lured her with the promise to marry her, he made physical contact several times. The SHO said that the girl lodged a named FIR with the police under Gidha police station against Jai Prakash Kumar for outraging her modesty. After institution of FIR, the police swung into action and arrested Jai Prakash Kumar and sent him to jail. The SHO further stated that the police produced the girl in the Ara Civil Court to get her statement registered under section 164 CrPC and also brought her to the Ara Sadar Hospital for medical examination.
