BHOJPUR POLICE ARREST A MISCREANT WITH FIREARMS

ARA------------------------Bhojpur police, acting on a tip off, foiled bid of committing crime and arrested a miscreant with a country made pistol, 11 live cartridges and a motorcycle. The arrested miscreant was identified as Avanish Kumar son of Kishori Singh of Raghunipur village under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district.

ASP Parichay Kumar said that he got information in the late night on July 29, 2024 that a miscreant with firearms was going to Chaurasani village under Gajrajganj police outpost via Paswan Chowk on his motorcycle to commit a crime, after verification of information, he formed a police team under SHO the Gajrajganj police outpost Hari Prasad Sharma and the police team at once swung into action and when the police arrived at Molanachowk Mor, a person was going to Chaurasani village on a motorcycle. The police intercepted and arrested him and when the police searched, a country made pistol and 11 live cartridges were found from him. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Gajrajganj police outpost against him under the Arms Act and the police sent him to jail after interrogation.
