BHOJPUR POLICE ARREST A MISCREANT WITH FIREARMS

ARA (RNI) Bhojpur police, acting on a tip off, arrested a miscreant from Suremanpur Dhaja diara area under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur district. The police recovered a country made pistol and 10 live cartridges from him. The miscreant was identified as Ram Lakhan Rai son of late Baijnath Rai of Suremanpur village under Bahoranpur police outpost who was counted among top 10 miscreants of Bhojpur district. Later the police sent him to jail after interrogation.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that over half a dozen criminal cases are pending with Bahoranpur police outpost against Ram Lakhan Rai and he was absconding since long. The SP stated that he got information that Ram Lakhan Rai had taken shelter at Suremanpur Diara area with arms with an intension to committing some crime. He at once formed a police team under the SHO Bahoranpur police outpost. As the police team reached near Rameshwar Rai’s field at Suremanpur Dhaja diara area, Ram Lakhan Rai tried to escape but the police team chased and arrested him.
