BHOJPUR DSP (R) SUSPENDED

Home Department suspended the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) (reserved), Bhojpur, Rakesh Ranjan with immediate effect in connection with the lapses in the security of the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) storage during the Lok Sabha elections. Departmental action will be initiated against him separately.

ARA-----------------------------Home Department suspended the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) (reserved), Bhojpur, Rakesh Ranjan with immediate effect in connection with the lapses in the security of the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) storage during the Lok Sabha elections. Departmental action will be initiated against him separately.

In the notification issued on March 5, 2024, the Home Department said that the DSP Rakesh Ranjan was found prima facie guilty on serious charges like violation of SOP for EVM storage and security and so he is being suspended with immediate effect. During the period of suspension, his headquarters will be under the Bihar Police Headquarters in Patna.
