Complete liquor ban is in force in Bihar since 2016 and under the provision of the New Excise Act, sale and drink of liquor is a crime. Despite the boozers even the government employees do not desist from taking liquor.
A video of a revenue employee posted at Koelwar Circle Officer in Bhojpur district has become viral on the social media in which he along with his associates is seen taking liquor. Bhojpur DM took it seriously and he sought an explanation from the revenue employee Anil Kumar. As the DM was not satisfied with his reply, he suspended him with immediate effect.
