ARA-------------------------------Bhojpur DM Raj Kumar arrested a broker of a revenue employee and sent him to jail in connection with demanding money for mutation. The arrested broker was identified as Umesh Kumar. CO lodged a named FIR with the police against him.
A broker of a revenue employee in the Circle Office at Ara, Umesh Kumar demanded illegal money from a person for mutation but the person complained the Bhojpur DM Raj Kumar. Taking it seriously, the DM conducted surprise visit at the Circle Office at Ara and arrested Umesh Kumar red handed and sent him to jail.
It may be mentioned here that people of Bhojpur district are facing a lot of problems in getting their revenue related works done at all the 14 Circle Offices in Bhojpur district. All the revenue employees in all the 14 circle offices employed their middlemen to realize illegal money from the persons who came to the circle offices for get their work done. The people have to make round and round of office several times for their works particularly for the mutation especially in rural areas. That is why they moved to the urban area for their work and part with Rs. 25000 to Rs. 30000 for their work whereas they have to pay Rs. 2000 to Rs. 5000 in rural areas.
