BAKERY SHOP OWNER SHOT DEAD

Ara, 11 June 2023, (RNI): Motorcycle borne armed miscreants shot dead a bakery shop owner at Raja Bazaar near High School under Bihia police station in the late night on June 10, 2023. The deceased was identified as Manohar alias Minchi 34 son of Santosh Kumar of Bihia Raja Bazaar Ward No 8 under Bihia police station. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Bihia police station in this regard. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. Reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained.

Puja Devi, wife of the deceased said that Manohar after taking meal came out of the house saying that he was going to a customer to deliver cake. She also went into the kitchen to keep plate there after eating. She saw that a youth, with motley colour was standing outside the house. She thought that people came there daily to but ice  cream and he might be one of them. Meanwhile, she heard gun shot and Manohr cried out that someone shot at him. Hearing his cry, she rushed to the spot but the miscreants had fled away on motorcycle till. The family member rushed him to the Ara Sadar Hospital where the doctor diagnosed brought dead.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that motorcycle borne two armed miscreants called Manohar from his house and demanded cake. As Manohar was going inside the house the miscreants shot him dead at midnight and fled away. He has formed a police team to arrest the miscreants.
