AN IMPOSTER SI ARRESTED WITH 1010 BOTTLES OF IMFL

ARA (RNI) A liquor smuggler in guise of Police Sub-Inspector was arrested from a luxury car and seized 1010 bottles of India Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL). The arrested imposter was identified as Ravi Kishan son of Pashupati Nath of Jalalpur, Saran district. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Giddha police station in this regard under the New Excise Act and the police sent them to jail after interrogation.

Assistant Commissioner, Excise Department Rajnish Kumar said that he got information that a big consignment of IMFL was being smuggled to Bihar from Uttar Pradesh in Safari Strom vehicle. He at once formed a team under the Sub-Inspector Rahul Kumar and the team intercepted a Safari Storm vehicle coming from Buxar near Kayamnagar Bridge under Giddha police station but the driver did not stop the vehicle. The vehicle collided with a divider and stopped. When the team of the Excise Department chased, they found that an SI in police uniform was sitting in the vehicle. When searched, IMFL in large quantity was seized from the vehicle packed in a bag which was being smuggled from Balia to Patna. The Excise team also arrested the imposter SI who was identified as Ravi Kishan, a liquor smuggler.
