AN ELDERLY WOMAN CRUSHED TO DEATH IN BHOJPUR VILLAGE
A speeding vehicle crushed to death an elderly woman near Kharauni village under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district in the late evening on February 8, 2025 when she was crossing the road.
ARA (RNI) A speeding vehicle crushed to death an elderly woman near Kharauni village under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district in the late evening on February 8, 2025 when she was crossing the road. The deceased was identified as Umrawati Kuer 69 wife of late Krishna Singh of Kharauni village. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. An FIR was lodged with the police under Bihia police station in this regard.
Guddu Singh, nephew of the deceased said that Umrawati Kuer had gone to Bihia Chaurasta from her village for shopping in the evening on February 8, 2025. While returning home, she alighted from the bus at Kharauni village and was crossing the road when a speeding vehicle knocked her down and killed her on the spot.
