AFTER KILLING FATHER AND DAUGHTER, THE SHOOTER KILLED HIMSELF TOO AT THE ARA RAILWAY STATION

ARA----------------------------A crazy lover shot dead a young girl and her father and later committed suicide by shooting himself in between platform No. 2 and 3 at Foot Over Bridge at the Ara railway station under Danapur rail division of the East Central Railway (ECR), Hajipur in the late night on March 25, 2025. A chaos created on the station campus following the incident. Police recovered the bodies and brought them to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The police recovered a country made pistol and a blank cartridge from the incident site. The deceased were identified as LIC agent Anil Kumar Sinha Bandha village under Bihia police station and presently living at Godana Road under Nawada police station and his daughter Jiya Kumari alias Ayusi Kumari while the crazy lover was identified as Aman Kumar 29 son of Shatrughan Singh of Asani village under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district. Prima facie it seems to be a case of love affair. An FIR has been lodged with the police in this regard and the police are investigating the matter.

ASP Parichay Kumar said that Aayushi Kumari was preparing for MBA while leaving in New Delhi. She had come to catch a train at Ara railway station to go to New Delhi while her father was going to drop her at the platform No 2 of the Ara railway station. When father and daughter were going to platform No 2 through the Foot Over Bridge, Aman Kumar came on the Foot Over Bridge in between platform No, 2 and 3 and shot dead Ayushi Kumari and her father Anil Kumar. Later he himself committed suicide by shooting him. On information, the GRP, RPF, SHO Nawada police station along with police force. ASP Parichay Kumar, Bhojpur SP Mister Raj, Senior Commandant, RPF, Danapur Prakash Kumar Panda and other police officers at once rushed to the spot and started investigating the matter.

The Senior RPF Commandant, Prakash Kumar Panda said that a youth Aman Kumar shot dead a person Anil Kumar Sinha and his daughter Jiya Kumari alias Ayushi Kumari and later also committed suicide by shooting himself. He said a team of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) collected some samples from the incident site and also from the bodies of the deceased. He added that the police are investigating the intention and are also trying to know as to where they were going. Police are also verifying their railway tickets.

It is said that Anil Kumar Sinha was an LIC agent. He had constructed a new house at Bhelai road and home warming ceremony was performed about two months ago on January 24, 2025.

It is worth mentioning here that some armed miscreants had shot dead two youths on the Ara railway station campus on May 4, 2018 when they had gone there to take tea. The deceased were identified as Hakim Mia son of Hafeez Mia of Bhaluhipur and Pankaj Bind son of Bottle Bind of Bind Toli area under Ara town police station. That incident had put a big question mark on the police efficacy and the last night incident also strengthened the notion that Bhojpur police are unable to control crime.

Sources said that Aman Kumar was a compounder in the clinic of a Dentist at Mahavir Tola and lived in a rented house at Karman Tola. Aman Kumar and Jiya alias Ayushi Kumari read in Navodaya Vidyalaya at Bihia where they had met for the first time. Jiya was a brilliant student and after passing matriculation, she went to New Delhi for higher education. It was said during student life at Nayodaya Vidyalay Aman Kumar loved Jiya and he had all information of Jiya but it was not known as to who provided him all information. It will come to light from the CDR of his mobile. Aman had threatened Jiyat Navodaya Vidyalaya at pistol point but Jiya did not take it seriously. It was also said that Aman knew that Jiya was to go to New Delhi in the evening on March 25, 2025 and so he was waiting at Platform No 4 wearing black mask. When Jiya came,Aman followed her on foot and as she approached towards the Platform No 2 through the Foot Over Bridge, he shot dead her and her father and later committed suicide by shooting himself. He did not locate Ayush younger brother of the Ayushi who had also come to see off his sister and so he survived.
