ARA--------------------------Under the banner of Adhivakta Sangharsh Samiti hundreds of advocates of the Ara Civil Court led by their organizer Kumud Patel staged a day long dharana in front of the statue of Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan to press the fulfillment of their nine point demands. For the last several days, Kumud Patel and his team were visiting all the courts of Shahabad and calling upon all the advocates to unite to fight for their rights and making them aware of the nine-point demands including the Advocate Protection Bill. As a result, advocates in entire Shahabad and other district called for revolution and staged a day long dharana in front of the state of Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan and pledged to carry forward their struggle for their rights.
Speaking on the occasion, Kumud Patel said that the advocates who provide justice to the entire country and society are themselves becoming victims of injustice today. Due to the indifference and neglect of the government, many are suffering the brunt of lack of basic amenities. He added that the government of Haryana, Rajasthan and even Jharkhand are taking important decisions for the welfare and interest of advocates while the Bihar government has left the advocates in a lurch.
