ARA (RNI) Under the banner of All India Lawyers Association for Justice, dozens of advocates demonstrated at the gate of the Ara Civil Court today for the implementation of Advocate Protection Act. Advocate Surendra Rai presided while Mohammad Mukhtar conducted the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Advocate Amit Kumar Gupta alias Bunty said that under the National Protest Day of All India Lawyers Association for Justice, a demonstration is being held at the gate of the Ara Civil Court. Tax advocates are protesting on the issue of implementation of Advocate Protection Act. He said that advocates are fighting for justice, constitution and democracy throughout the country. That is why they are being attacked by criminals, police and goons. Advocates are being murdered, kidnapped and they are being unnecessarily implicated in false cases by the police and by bringing the proposed amendment in the Advocate Act 1961 against the advocates, the Central Modi government is trying to usurp their democratic rights.
He further said that he wanted to snatch away the rights and freedom of the Bar Association and make it his puppet. After protest by advocates, the Central Government had to withdraw it. This is a black law. The advocates’ organization, All India Lawyers Association for Justice, always fights for the welfare of advocates and will continue to do so. He added that until the Advocate Protection Act is implemented, the All India Lawyers Association for Justice will continue to fight for the welfare of advocates and through this demonstration, we demand that the Advocate Protection Act be implemented. He further said that our organization has also prepared a bill for this and has given it to the All India bar Council and the State Bar Councils of the country.
