ADJ XIX AWARDS CAPITAL PUNISHMENT TO TWO BROTHERS IN TRIPLE MURDER CASE

SASARAM (RNI) Additional District and Session Judge XIX, Sasaram Civil Court, Indrajeet Singh awarded capital punishment to two brothers Sonal Singh 30 and Aman Singh 28 in connection with triple murder case at Khudraw village under Darihat police station of Dehari block in Rohtas district. The court considered the murder to be the rarest of the rare and said that both should be hanged till death. The court also wrote a letter to the District Legal Service Authority (DLSA) and ordered to pay compensation to the family of the deceased. Ajay Singh and Vijay Singh were brothers.

A dispute started in between the families of Ajay Singh and Vijay Singh at Khudraw village under Darihat police station of Dehari block in Rohtas district on July 13, 2021 merely for 10 kathas of land that took an ugly turn. Later Ajay Singh and his sons Aman Singh and Sonal Singh lynched Vijay Singh and his both the sons Deepak Singh and Rakesh Singh with traditional weapons and killed them with swords. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Darihat police station against four persons, Ajay Singh, Aman Singh, Sonal Singh and a woman in this connection on the statement of Shakuntala Devi wife of one of the deceased Vijay Singh.

After hearing both the parties, the ADJ XIX considered the murders as rarest of the rare case in which all the male members of a family except children were killed and convicted Aman Singh and Sonal Singh and awarded them capital punishment till death. The third named accused Ajay Singh is still absconding and the trial of woman accused has not started so far.
