ARA---------------------Additional District and Session Judge XIII, Ara Civil Court, Akhilesh Kumar Singh awarded rigorous life imprisonment to a person and also slapped a fine of Rs. 50,000 on him in connection with murder of his wife.
Public Prosecutor Nageshwar Dubey said that Lal Babu Sah of Ahile village under Narayanpur police station married his daughter Rinku Kumari with Guddu Sah son of Nand Sah of Majhiaw village under Charpokhari police station in the year 2013 and she had two children with the marriage. Since the marriage, her husband tortured her physically and mentally for dowry and when his demand was not fulfilled, he thrashed her to death on September 3, 2019. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Charpokhari police station against Guddu Sah on the statement of father of the deceased.
Hearing both the parties, the ADJ XIII convicted Guddu Sah for the murder of his wife and awarded rigorous life imprisonment and also slapped a fine of Rs. 50,000 on him.
