ADJ VIII AWARDS RIGOROUS LIFE IMPRISONMENT TO A PERSON FOR THE MURDER OF HIS WIFE
-Additional District and Session Judge VIII, Buxar Civil Court, Sunil Kumar Pancham awarded rigorous life imprisonment to a person in connection with murder of his wife and also slapped a fine of Rs. 20,000. He has to undergo three months additional imprisonment for not paying the fine.

APP Dadan Kumar Singh said that the police had recovered body of Vimala Singh wife of Salik Singh of Kanjnara Hansdiha village under Sikraul police station from the bank of Thora river and a named FIR was lodged against Salik Singh on the statement of Golu Kumar, son of the deceased.
Golu told the police and also the court that he had gone to near the Thora river to install barrier around his brinjal field on September 30, 2021. Her mother sent him to Sikraul Lakh to buy fertilizer but he had to return home as he could not get the fertilizer there. The same day at about 7pm his father came home and said that his mother fell into the Thora river and drowned. He went there and found that her mother was half drowned and, her eyes were bulging and blood was coming out of her mouth. He lodged an FIR with the police under Sikraul police station in this regard. Hearing both the parties, the ADJ VIII convicted Shalik Singh and awarded rigorous life imprisonment to him for the murder of his wife and also slapped a fine of Rs. 20,000. He will have to undergo additional three months imprisonment for paying the fine.
