ADJ VIII, ARA CIVIL COURT AWARDS RIGOROUS LIFE IMPRISONMENT TO TWO FOR THE MURDER OF A PROPERTY DEALER
Additional District and Session Judge VIII, Ara Civil Court, Neeraj Kishore awarded rigorous life imprisonment to two persons Chandan Rai and Suman Rai and also slapped a fine of Rs. 60,000 on them in connection with murder of a property dealer. The court issued non-billable warrant against the third named accused Bittu Kumar Rai as he was not present in the court.
ARA (RNI) Additional District and Session Judge VIII, Ara Civil Court, Neeraj Kishore awarded rigorous life imprisonment to two persons Chandan Rai and Suman Rai and also slapped a fine of Rs. 60,000 on them in connection with murder of a property dealer. The court issued non-billable warrant against the third named accused Bittu Kumar Rai as he was not present in the court.
APP Vinita Kumari said that Sita Ram Singh of Vishnunagar under Nawda police station along with his son Upendra Kumar alias Mithun Singh, property dealer was going to Jagdeo Nagar under Nawada police station on September 27, 2020. On way was talking with Sarvesh Kumar Singh when three armed miscreants came and started firing on them in which Upendra Kumar alias Mithun Singh was killed while Sarvesh Kumar Singh was badly injured at the behest of Deepak Pandey. An FIR was lodged with the police under Nawada police station in this regard against Suman Rai, Bittu Kumar Rai and Deepak Kumar on the statement of Sita Ram Singh. In the FIR, he said that some armed miscreants had shot at and injured Upendra Kumar alias Mithun Singh and his friend the then JD(U) national secretary, Prince Singh Bajrangi at Jagdeo Nagar under Nawada police station on September 27, 2020 in which Upendra Kumar alias Mithun Singh was killed while Prince Singh Bajrangi was badly injured. He further said that Upendra Kumar was planning to purchase a piece of land but one of the named accused Deepak Kumar always threatened him with dire consequences if he dared to purchase the land. He had informed the police in this regard. Meanwhile on September 27, 2024, the some armed miscreants namely Suman, Bittu and Rishu alias Rishikesh shot dead Upendra Kumar at about 4.30pm near Durga Temple at Jagdeo Nagar under Nawada police station and escaped from the scene. The miscreants namely Ritesh Rai, Bhola Rai, Shubham Kumar, Aryan Kumar and Jitendra Kumar had also planned to eliminate Dharmendra Singh, one of the eye witnesses of the incident during Chhtah festival in the year 2024 but the police arrested Rishi Kumar alias Rishikesh and foiled their bid.
