Additional District and Session Judge (ADJ) VII cum Special Protection of Children from Sexual Offence (POCSO) convicted a rapist Ranjan Kumar of Goppur village under Sikraur police station in Buxar district for outraging modesty of a teenage girl about 11 years ago. The quantum of punishment will be announced on May 28, 2024.

SASARAM-----------------------Additional District and Session Judge (ADJ) VII cum Special Protection of Children from Sexual Offence (POCSO) convicted a rapist Ranjan Kumar of Goppur village under Sikraur police station in Buxar district for outraging modesty of a teenage girl about 11 years ago. The quantum of punishment will be announced on May 28, 2024.
Special Additional Public Prosecutor Heera Pratap Singh said that a 13 year old and Class IX student girl was going to her coaching centre for study under Dinara police station area on April 29, 2013 when a youth Ranjan Kumar kidnapped and took her to a secluded place where he outraged her modesty.
After hearing both the parties, the ADJ VII convicted Ranjan Kumar under section 4 and 6 of POCSO Act and fixed May 28, 2024 for the announcement of quantum of punishment.
