ADJ VI AWARDS RIGOROUS LIFE IMPRISONMENT TO THREE PERSONS FOR RAPE AND MURDER OF A TEENAGE GIRL

ARA-------------------------Additional District and Session Judge VI cum Protection of Children from Sexual Offence (POCSO) Judge, Arbind Kumar Singh, Ara Civil Court, awarded rigorous life imprisonment to three persons Nand Jee Musahar of Ratanpur village under Ayar police station, Mokhtar Musahar and Chait Musahar of Kokila village under Jagdishpur police station and and also slapped a fine of Rs. 35000 on each of them in connection with murder of a teenage girl after outraging her modesty.

Special Public Prosecutor, POCSO, Saroj Kumari said that the wife Nand Jee Musahar decoyed a teenage girl and took the girl to her house on March 11, 2022 and since she did not return home. Her family members searched for her everywhere but in vain. The mobile of the girl was also switched off for the last seven days. They also went to the house of Nand Jee Musahar but the gate was locked. Later the family members lodged an FIR with the police under Nawada police station in this regard. After institution of FIR, the police swung into action and interrogated Nand Jee Musahar who confessed before the police that he along with Mokhatar Musahar, Chait Musahar, Vikas Musahar, Golanka Musahar and Dhindha Musahar outraged the modesty of the girl and later strangulated her to death. On his revelation, the police exhumed the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The SPP further said that trial is going on separately against Vikas Musahar, Golanka Musahar and Dhindha Musahar in this regard.

After hearing both the parties, the ADJ VI awarded rigorous life imprisonment to three persons, Nand Jee Musahar, Mokhatar Musahar and Chaita Musahar and also slapped a fine of Rs. 35000 on each of them.
