ADJ VI AWARDS IMPRISONMENT FOR KIDNAPPING OF A TEENAGE A GIRL
Additional District and Session Judge VI cum POCSO, Ara Civil Court, Arvind Kumar Singh awarded rigorous three and half a year imprisonment to a person, Vikas Kumar and also slapped a fine of Rs. 10,000 in connection with kidnapping of a teenage girl.
ARA (RNI) Additional District and Session Judge VI cum POCSO, Ara Civil Court, Arvind Kumar Singh awarded rigorous three and half a year imprisonment to a person, Vikas Kumar and also slapped a fine of Rs. 10,000 in connection with kidnapping of a teenage girl.
Special Public Prosecutor, POCSO Saroj Kumari said that a teenage girl under Piro police station in Bhojpur had gone to her coaching class Bikramganj in Rohtas district on July 13, 2022. On the way, Vikas Kumar of Hasan Bazaar police outpost kidnapped her in her car. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Piro (Hasan Bazaar police outpost). Later he dropped the girl at Mughalsarai in Uttar Pradesh whence the girl returned home. The police had brought her to the Ara Sadar Hospital for medical examination and also produced her in the Ara Civil Court to get her statement registered under section 164 CrPC.
After hearing both the parties, the ADJ VI convicted Vikas Kumar under section 363 IPC and awarded three and half a year imprisonment and also slapped a fine of Rs. 10,000 on him in this regard.
