ADJ III AWARDS RIGOROUS LIFE IMPRISONMENT FOR MURDER

Ara (RNI) Additional District and Session Judge III, Ara Civil Court awarded rigorous life imprisonment to Rajendra Singh and also slapped a fine of Rs. 10,000 on him in connection with murder of a person.

Public Prosecutor Nageshwar Dubey said that Hare Krishna Kumar of Maharaja village under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur district was beaten to death on March 11, 2020. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Shahpur police station in this regard against some persons including Rajendra Singh on the statement of Vikrama Singh, father of the deceased. The PP said that Rajendra Singh lived in Patna and Hare Krishna Kumar also lived in Patna for his study. As both belong to the same village and so Hare Krishna Kumar frequently visited Rajendra Singh house. Meanwhile he fell in love with the girl of the house. Earlier Rajendra Singh and others had threatened him but he did not desist. The PP further said that on March 11, 2020 at about 9.30pm on the eve of Holi, Hare Krishna Kumar was called on mobile to hear ‘Chaita’ and when he went there, the named miscreants beat him to death and threw his body near a Shiv temple in the village whence the police recovered the body next day. He said that during investigation, the police took out the CDR of the Rajendra Singh’s mobile and blood stain was also found on his kurta.

Hearing both the parties the ADJ III convicted Rajendra Singh and awarded rigorous life imprisonment and also slapped a fine of Rs. 10,000 on him.
