Additional District and Session Judge II, Buxar Civil Court awarded rigorous life imprisonment and also slapped a fine of Rs. 20,000 on Vijyant Singh of Gopinathpur village under Itadhi police station in Buxar district in connection with murder of his wife. He had to undergo additional six month in jail if he failed to give Rs. 20,000 penalty.

BUXAR----------------------------Additional District and Session Judge II, Buxar Civil Court awarded rigorous life imprisonment and also slapped a fine of Rs. 20,000 on Vijyant Singh of Gopinathpur village under Itadhi police station in Buxar district in connection with murder of his wife. He had to undergo additional six month in jail if he failed to give Rs. 20,000 penalty.
Additional Public Prosecutor Ram Nath Thakur said that Vijyant Singh of Gopalpur village under Itadhi police station in Buxar district had killed his wife Usha Devi with sharp edged weapon in July 2021. The father of the deceased Mundrika Singh Yadav of Bikram English village under Sikraul police station lodged a named FIR with the police under Itadhi police station in this regard against Vijayan Singh, husband of the deceased and Raja Babu, step son of the deceased in which he blamed that since the marriage Vijyant Singh always tortured Usha Devi physically and mentally and she had several times complained in this regard. Menwhile on July 2021, he got information that she was killed. He at once went there and found body of his daughter there lying unattended.
After hearing both the parties, the ADJ II awarded Vijyant Singh rigorous life imprisonment and also slapped a fine of Rs. 20,000. He court further said that he had to undergo six months additional imprisonment if he failed to deposit the amount.
