ARA--------------------------Additional District and Session Judge I cum Special SC/ST Court cum Juvenile Court, Ara Civil Court, Rishi Kumar Singh awarded rigorous life imprisonment to four persons, Daroga Yadav, Dinanath, Vikram Yadav and Niranjan Kumar and also slapped a fine of Rs. 1 lakh on each of them in connection with murder of a driver Sonu Paswan at the Jagjiwan Halt under Gajrajganj police outpost in Bhojpur district.

Special Public Prosecutor SC/ST, Satyendra Singh Dara said that Anil Chaudhary of Chowkipur village belonged to the Scheduled Caste was sitting at Jagjiwan Halt under Danapur rail division of East Central Railway (ECR), Hajipur, along with his friend Diwakar Prakash alias Sonu Paswan on October 5. 2021. While returning home in the evening, four persons including Daroga Yadav alias Arjun Yadav of Maulana Chak and Vikram Yadav alias Singhania of Badaka Gaon scuffled with them and also fired. One bullet hit Diwakar Prakash alias Sonu Paswan and he died on the spot while the informer Anil Chaudhary was injured. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Udwantnagar police station in this regard.

Hearing both the parties, the ADJ I Rishi Kumar convicted Daroga Yadav alias Arjun Yadav, Vikram Yadav alias Singhania, Dinanath Kumar and Niranjan Kumar and awarded rigorous life imprisonment to them. The court also slapped a fine of Rs. 1.5 lakh on each of them.
