ACTIVISTS OF BHIM ARMY BROKE IDOLS OF LORD HANUMAN AND LORD VISHWAKARMA IN KAIRMUR, TWO DOZEN ARRESTED

Bhabhua, 25 June 2023, (RNI): Tension prevails in and around Mukhrao village under Kuchhila police station of Nuwaw block in Kaimur district after the activists of the Bhim Army broke the idols of lord Hanuman and lord Vishwakarma in the village to capture the land of Anabad Sarwasadharan Pond in village though the alertness of Kaimur district administration control the situation from taking ugly turn. Police are keeping round the clock vigil on the situation to maintain law and order in the area.

The Jan-Jeevan-Hariyali scheme is one of the important parts of the seven resolution and a pond was being dug in Mukhrao village under Kuchhila police station under the supervision of the Circle Officer, Nunawn under the this scheme but the activists of the Bhim Army or so called Christians protested saying that they would not let the pond dug in the area and they would organize their programme there. They put up a banner with the photograph of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar in the middle of the pond with a view to capture the land.  On the other hand, the villagers said that the government scheme must be completed as the pond has a lot of benefits that infuriated the activists of the Bhim Army and they damaged the idols of lord Hanuman and lord Vishwakarma. When the Sanatan Dharmawalambi raised voice against the breaking of idols of lords, the activists of the Bhim Army or Christians clashed and pelted with stones and also fired. The Sanatanis also retaliated in the same manner in which over a dozen persons were injured. On information, Kaimur District Magistrate, Sawan Kumar and the Superintendent of Police Lalit Mohan Sharma along with police force rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control but the activists of the Bhim Army or Christians were so recalcitrant, they raised slogans ‘Bhim Army Jindanad’ and marched with vulgar slogans against the Hindu gods and goddesses in the presence of the DM and the SP. The police flag march to control the situation and arrested at least dozen persons from both the groups.

As the news spread, Vinod Kumar Tiwari, Bihar State president, Prashuram Sena along with hundreds of activists reached the spot and assured the Sanatanis to give all possible support under the constitution. He said that it is a matter of great concern those who claimed that Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar made the Indian constitution but they themselves are flouting the constitution. He added that their work is not upliftment of dalits and down trodden of the society but to break the society in the name of caste, creed and race by misleading them to convert.

Villagers showed their anguish over the action of the officials of the district administration. They said that the police entered their houses in the night and arrested and sent those persons to jail who had nothing to do with the incident.
