554 CARTONS OF IMFL SEIZED, TWO ARRESTED

Bhabhua, 16 May 2023, (RNI): Kaimur police along with ALTF seized 554 cartons of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) loaded on a truck and arrested the driver and the co-driver of the truck from near Integrated Check-post under Mohania police station in Kaimur district. The IMFL was kept under the bags of onions on the truck. The police also seized the truck bearing registration No PB 05 AP 0369. The arrested driver and Co-driver were identified as Kaluram of Hanumangarh district and Sukhvindar Singh of Sree Muktsar Sahib district in Punjab.

DSP Mohania Faiz Ahamad Khan said that Anti Liquor Task Force (ALTF) was checking vehicles near Excise Department Check-Post when a truck from Varanasi loaded with onions came. The ALTF intercepted and when searched, 12372 bottles of IMFL packed in 554 cartons and kept under the bags of onions in the truck were seized. The ALTF arrested the driver and the co-driver and also seized the truck. The ALTF are interrogating the arrested persons to know as to where they had to deliver the IMFL.
