4.16 LAKH CATTLE VACCINATED AGAINST DIPHTHERIA AND LAMENESS IN KAIMUR DISTRICT IN THIS FISCAL
In the financial year of 2024-2025, altogether 4.16lakh cattle were vaccinated to protect them against diphtheria and lameness in Kaimur district.
BHABHUA (RNI) In the financial year of 2024-2025, altogether 4.16lakh cattle were vaccinated to protect them against diphtheria and lameness in Kaimur district.
Kaimur District Animal Husbandry Officer said that main objective of vaccination is to save animals from diphtheria and lameness. A total of 7340 applications were sent to the banks under the Kisan Credit Cart in Kaimur district out of which bank accepted 891 applications and rejected 1802 application while 4647 applications are being considered.
He said that in the last financial year 2023-2024, 5 broilers and 2 layers were selected under the Integrated Poultry Development Scheme in Kaimur district. 12 beneficiaries have been selected under the Integrated Goat and Sheep Development Scheme, 3 beneficiaries have been selected under the Integrated Goat and Sheep Development Scheme and 105 beneficiaries have been selected under the Goat Distribution Scheme. He added that the Animal Husbandry Department is making continuous efforts in providing employment to the people and also making people aware about self-employment and the benefits of which are also being availed by the farmers in Kaimur district.
