3432 BOTTLES OF IMFL SEIZED, TWO LIQUOR SMUGGLERS ARRESTED

Ara, 22 March 2023, (RNI): Bhojpur police seized 3432 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) packed in 114 cartons from near a bush near Ishwar Singh High School at Ishwar Singh Ka Tola village under Jagdishpur police station in Bhojpur district. The police arrested two liquor smugglers and also seized a Scorpio and two motorcycles from the spot. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Jagdishpur police station under the New Excise Act and the police sent them to jail after interrogation.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that he got information that IMFL had been brought near a bush beside Ishwar Singh High School at Ishwar Singh Ka Tola village under Jagdishpur police station in Bhojpur district. He sent a police team under the SDPO Jagdishpur, Rajiv Chandra Singh and the police conducted raid there. When the police team reached there, liquor smugglers were carrying liquor on motorcycle from a Scorpio hid in the bush. Seeing police, the liquor smugglers tried to escape but the police chased and arrested them. The arrested liquor smugglers were identified as Amit Kumar of Ranni village, Rahul Bhagat of Pawana village under Pawana police station. The SP further said that the police seized one Pick-Up, one Scorpio, two motorcycles and three mobiles from them. He stated that a big syndicate of liquor smugglers would be busted very soon.
